Does Exmouth matter to you?
Are you concerned about what happens to our town?
What do you want Exmouth to look like in the future?
Exmouth Matters is concerned about the future for Exmouth and aims to use this website :
to sound out public opinion on public projects at as early a stage as possible
as a means to share suggested proposals which could affect Exmouth and to focus on key issues
as a facility to ensure that good ideas, whether they be initiated by a group or an individual, are captured and can gain sufficient support
to approach the councils (initially Exmouth Town Council) with proof that there is widespread public support for good ideas. This could potentially open a path to the fulfilment of delivering good ideas in the town.

If you are interested in seeing improvements of value to the community, then this is an invitation to join us at Exmouth Matters. This will give you the opportunity to learn about projects of wide community interest at an early stage where it is not too late for our comments to be able to affect the outcome. At present major projects are planned by our councils in sufficient detail to secure funding before we know much about them so that there is, understandably, a reluctance to consider changes.
In addition the compulsory consultation for major projects becomes a very expensive process which does not reach a wide audience and tends to be a tick box exercise rather than a constructive discussion.
